Mid-Autumn Festival Celebration on 22 Sep 2012

The Kebun Baru Community Club will be organising the Mid-Autumn Festival Celebration on 22 Sep 2012 at Bishan Ang Mo Kio Park (Lawn 1).   Our Prime Minister will be joining us at the event.      There are many fringe activities to entertain our residents.   MacDonald meals will be provided too.   Tickets at $3 each are being sold over our RC Counter at Blk 225 as well as the Kebun Baru Community Club.   Residents who have bought the tickets from our RC are required to gather at Kebun Baru Mall (near Blk 226D wet market) at 6.15pm to collect their free lanterns and thereafter proceeding to the Park in a group.

Extension of Premises and Launch of New Web Portal for Our RC in Year 2012

We are currently expanding our Centre space by about 93 sqm to cater for the future needs of our residents including the youths and a possible deployment of a full time staff. Improvements to the existing interaction/ seating area are also being considered too. We are presently working on a brand new user friendly web portal for our community to replace this Blog. It is our intention to roll out the new website when the RC extension works complete sometime in Aug 2012. Free wireless internet access within our RC premises is also in the pipeline. We sincerely hope that theses improvements will  bring us closer and meet our aspirations for a vibrant and caring community.

Visit by Residents from Tai Keng Garden Neighbourhood Committee on 21 Apr 2012

Despite the light rain that delayed the start of the event, many senior residents from Tai Keng Garden Neighbourood Committee, 35 in total, were still persistent in visiting both our gardens, the Herbal Garden at Blk 233 and Blissful Patio at Blk 231.

During the event, these eager visitors inquired about the names of different herbal and ornament plants and their gardening requirements.

Before they left, we offered them an apple each as a gesture of healthy living and welcomed them to visit us soon.

Ang Mo Kio Town Hall Meeting on 2 Jun 2012

The Ang Mo Kio Town Council is organising its 2nd Town Hall Meeting on 2 Jun 2012 (Saturday) from 2.45pm to 5pm and it will be held at Blk 226 void deck.

This meeting provides a platform for the exchange of views between the residents and our Advisors.   It is an opportunity for you to provide feedback or suggestions to various government agencies and learn more about the future improvement plans in your estates.   We sincerely hope to see our residents there.   Refreshment is provided.

Community Gardens Tour and Gardening Seminar on 15 Apr 2012

We will be organising a visit to the neighbouring community gardens on 15 Apr at 8am.   This is to allow gardening enthusiasts to be able to exchange their gardening experience/tips and also to admire the beauty/ variety of plants in the garden.   The visit will then be followed by a gardening seminar conducted by NPark at the void deck of Blk 231 with beautiful souvenirs to be given away.   Residents can also join our Healthy Lifestyle Club (Nature Lovers) as members to enjoy frequent visits to local natural reserves/ gardens/ parks for brisk walking.  At 12pm, a sumptuous buffet lunch will be served.   Tickets at $2 each are available for sale at our Blk 225 RC Centre.
